Rapper Gets Arrested After Performing at State Theatre

Underground rapper Machine Gun Kelly was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday morning by St. Petersburg Police.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly tore up the stage Saturday night at State Theatre. Just a few hours after the show, the rapper was arrested at about 3 a.m. for disorderly conduct.

The St. Petersburg Police Department charged the rapper, whose real name is Richard Baker, with a misdemeanor (brawling). Baker was released from the Pinellas County Jail Sunday morning on $100 bond.

"The northern Ohio native is currently touring, and had stopped in St. Petersburg to perform Saturday night at the State Theatre.

"Sunday's arrest marks Baker's second in five months. He was cited in August for allegedly organizing a flash mob at the South Park Mall in Strongsville."

On Twitter, the rapper vented his arrest frustrations Sunday: "Just spent my entire night in a [expletive] Florida jail ... [expletive] escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though."

Baker later tweeted, "Anyways, thank you Florida for ragin this week. Lookin forward to seeing every state during this spring/summer tour (no more handcuffs tho!)."
