ST. PETERSBURG - Veteran rapper Corey Woods, also known as Raekwon The Chef,  stopped by The State Theater to rock the mic for an appreciative group of hip-hop fanatics Wednesday night.

Raekwon is best known as a member of the legendary music group Wu Tang Clan, but has proven to be an artist in his own right.

After originally recording music with the Wu Tang Clan in 1992, Raekwon went on to record the solo seminal LP, Only Built For Cuban Linx, in 1995. Recording a total of four albums since the first, he is currently touring for 2011's "Shaolin vs. Wu Tang."

St. Pete was the first date on the Florida tour, and Raekwon tweeted, "I got shows in Tampa, Orlando, and Miami all this week starting on 25th-27th. Then we out in Miami for the weekend."

Local support came in the form of The Rukus, Infinite Skillz, B.C., and Dynasty. To top off the already amazing lineup, Raekwon brought along Mean Doe Green from Sacramento, CA.
