Registration Opens To Receive Thanksgiving, Christmas Meals
Positive Impact Church will be the south Pinellas County collection, registration and distribution site for "Box of Hope" holiday meals.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL —Positive Impact Worldwide Ministries in St. Petersburg has announced it is partnering with Metropolitan Ministries as a south Pinellas County collection, registration and distribution site for "Box of Hope" holiday meals.
The mission of the ministry is to alleviate suffering and promote dignity so more individuals and families in St. Petersburg can live self-sufficient, fulfilling lives.
The partnership with Metropolitan Ministries will enable Positive Impact to assist more than 700 families with Thanksgiving and Christmas Boxes of Hope in which each family receives a complete holiday dinner. With the Christmas box, each child also receives a toy.

Registration for the Thanksgiving Box of Hope will take place Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Positive Impact Church, 2750 34th St. S., St. Petersburg.
Registration for the Christmas Box of Hope will be from Dec. 5 to 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the church.

The Box of Hope is available for:
- Families struggling financially with children under the ages of 18.
- Families receiving food stamps, Medicaid, SSI, unemployment benefits, cash assistance or SSDI award letter.
- Seniors age 62 or older who are struggling financially or whose income is Social Security.
- Adults living on Social Security disability benefits.
Those registering must have ID for each child, proof of a parent or court-appointed guardian and proof of residency such as a rent receipt or electric or water bill.
