Residents Invited To Meet County Administrator Candidates
The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners is hosting a meet-and-greet event for the final four candidates for county administrator.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners is hosting a meet-and-greet event for the final four candidates for the role of county administrator. The event will take place on Monday, Aug. 13, from 7 until 8:30 p.m., at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park, 950 Lake Carillon Dr., St. Petersburg. The public is invited to attend.
The four candidates are Barry Burton, county administrator for Lake County, Ill.; Roberto Hernandez, city manager for the city of Savannah, Ga.;Steve Howard, county administrator for Camden County, Ga.; and Jill Silverboard, deputy city manager for the city of Clearwater.
The current county administrator, Mark Woodard, is retiring after 30 years of service. The county administrator implements the board’s vision by leading more than 1,800 employees who provide a wide variety of services to the county’s residents and visitors. The administrator oversees daily operations, and builds relationships with municipal and community partners to help make services more efficient and accessible to the public.
