Ringside Cafe to Host Blues Artist Janiva Magness
She is expected to perform her 11th studio album, "Original," during the Aug. 23 appearance.
Award-winning singer and songwriter Janiva Magness will bring her special brand of blues to St. Petersburg next week.
Magness is set to appear at the Ringside Café, 16 2nd St. N., at 9 p.m. Aug. 23. Her show is being presented by Tampa’s Suncoast Blues Society.
Magness’ “I Won’t Cry” won Song of the Year honors in 2013 from The Blues Foundation in Memphis. Her new 11-song album, “Original” debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s blues charts.
