Road-Rage Shooting Suspect Sought In St. Pete: Watch

Detectives are searching for a man who shot a woman during a July 5 road-rage incident in St. Petersburg, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Detectives are seeking public assistance in identifying a man who shot a woman during a road rage incident the night of July 5, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release. (Watch a video from the incident below.)

Around 9:30 p.m., the driver of a white minivan was heading north on Dr. Martin Luther King Street North and swerved to avoid hitting a red Mazda CX3 crossing eastbound at the intersection of 116th Avenue, police said.

The minivan driver made a U-turn and pursued the Mazda east on 116th Avenue. When they reached the area of 116th Avenue and 4th Street N., the driver of the minivan shot at the Mazda’s driver.

The Mazda driver, a woman, suffered a serious but non-life-threatening injury, police said.

The suspect is an Asian man between 30 and 40 years old with some gray in his hair, the agency said.
