See 3 Free Movies In St. Pete
The outdoor shows are meant to cap off race night festivities.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — While the Firestone Grand Prix is the fastest thing in town this weekend, the city is inviting St. Petersburg residents and visitors to kick back for a few free shows, too.
The first of three free outdoor movie showings, set to coincide with the race, gets under way Friday around 7:30 p.m. in North Straub Park. The films will be shown on the north wall of the Museum of Fine Arts on Beach Drive.
The first movie in the series is “Turbo,” a family friendly flick about a snail obsessed with speed. Fittingly, the star of the show, voiced by Ryan Reynolds of “Deadpool” fame, has aspirations of becoming the world’s greatest race car driver.
