Seven Recruits Graduate From St. Pete Corrections Academy

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Seven Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputy recruits were recognized for completing corrections academy training during a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, a police news release said.

During the academy, the recruits completed a total of 420 hours of training at St. Pete College. Sheriff Gualtieri presented the recruits with their new badges, and administered the oath of office to the group.

The graduates include: Jesse Emerick, Nicole Lamattina, Kayla Lancioni, Christopher Lovett II, Jerica Richardson, Paige Thevenin and Jake Williams.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office periodically offers full sponsorships through the Corrections Academy. If accepted for sponsorship, the Sheriff's Office will pay for your academy tuition, books and Florida Department of Law Enforcement certification exams.
