Spring Training Baseball Series Begins This Week

Starting Tuesday international and MLB teams will convene at Al Lang Field for the 2012 International Spring Baseball Training Series.

The 2012 International Spring Baseball Training Series kicks off this week in downtown St. Petersburg at Al Lang Stadium.

The series, which runs from March 6 to March 18, features the 2011 World Cup Championship team from the Netherlands, Team Canada and St. Petersburg College playing spring squads from the Tampa Bay Rays, the Detroit Tigers, the Philadelphia Phillies, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Atlanta Braves.
