Spring Training Tickets Starting to Go on Sale

Here are some players and games to keep an eye on in the Grapefruit League, and a guide to restaurants and hotels near the ballparks.

Spring training tickets are starting to go on sale for the Tampa Bay Rays and other teams in Florida's Grapefruit League. 

The Rays haven't specified an on-sale date yet, but according to MLB.com, single-game tickets will go on sale in mid-January. Tickets for the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies, all of whom play their home game in the Tampa Bay area, are already on sale.

Spring training, which begins in March, will be the first chance for fans to see the Rays' offseason acquisitions:

The Rays' spring schedule includes matchups against American League rival the New York Yankees on Wednesday, March 7 in Tampa and against National League power the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, March 29 in Clearwater. The spring schedule also includes home games against both of those teams, as well as four games against the Boston Red Sox.

On-sale dates for the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, who both play in Jupiter, haven't been announced.

The Rays open the regular season against the Yankees on Friday, April 6 at  in St. Petersburg.
