St. Pete Boutique Hotel Owner To Open 3 Restaurants At Pier
The St. Petersburg City Council has approved a lease Birchwood restaurant owner Chuck Prather to open three eateries at The Pier.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- The St. Petersburg City Council has approved a lease Birchwood restaurant owner Chuck Prather to open an upscale restaurant, a cafe and a rooftop bar at the new St. Peter Pier.
The three-story concept will be located at the Pier Head and include a restaurant called Teak, a rooftop bar called Teaki and a cafe called Driftwood Caf.
Sample menus for the restaurant indicate a broad offering including lobster tails, fish tacos, a raw bar and local craft beers provided in an elegant setting with local art on display.

The rooftop Teaki bar, a play on retro tiki bars, will offer tropical atmosphere with trendy cocktails. The Driftwood Cafe will offer coffees, teas, ice cream and pastries.
"I want to thank Chuck Prather and his team for bringing this excellent concept to us and for being a part of our new St. Pete Pier," said St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman. "Teak, Pier Teaki and the cafe will be a unique, outstanding addition to our already excellent food scene in St. Pete."

Five years ago, Prather opened a boutique hotel, The Birchwood, at 340 Beach Drive, N.E., in St. Petersburg, featuring the award-winning Birch & Vine restaurant and the Canopy rooftop lounge.
