ST. PETERSBURG, FL — With Halloween around the corner, here’s some spooky fun planned in the St. Petersburg area.
When: Thursday, 6 to 7 p.m.

Where: The Dali Museum, One Dali Blvd., St. Petersburg
Admission: Free

This Halloween-themed lecture by Peter Tush, curator of education at the museum, will explore the spectral domain of Dali’s art.
When: Friday and Saturday, tours at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m.
Where: South St. Petersburg address disclosed to ticketholders
Admission: $18 per person
Tour a series of short, scary plays to learn about the hauntings and history of the St. Pete Murder House. Each play is written and produced by teams of local writers and actors.
“Rocky Horror Picture Show” Party
When: Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Where: No Vacancy, 937 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Admission: Free
Featuring drink specials, costume contests with prizes, and the sounds of DJ Danny Vintage and DJ CyberMousey.
Nun-O-Ween Halloween Party & Costume Contest
When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: Salty Nun, 2501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Admission: Free
Featuring a costume contest and music from DJ Shannon C.
When: Friday, 8 p.m.
Where: The Palladium at St. Petersburg College in downtown St. Petersburg
Admission: $20 per adult, $10 per child.
This evening of music and film features the ghastly trio, La Lucha, scoring classic horror films of the silent film era. This event is hosted by Eugenie Bondurant.
When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Great Explorations, 1925 4th Street N., St. Petersburg
Admission: $18 for non-members, $12 for members
Dress in costume and grab some candy. Find your way through the spider maze and observe the mad scientist make a mess with their experiments. Explore and collect prizes in the scavenger hunt. Dance the “Monster Mash” and hear some spooky tales.
When: Saturday, 3 to 11:30 p.m.
Where: Various downtown St. Petersburg bars
Admission: $25 to 30 each
Visit various St. Petersburg bars before hitting one of the after parties at Whiskey Exchange, No Vacancy and Park & Rec. Wear a costume for the contest! Entry includes cover for participating venues and exclusive drink specials.
Where: Tiki Bar & Grill, 5519 Shore Blvd. S., Gulfport
Witches and warlocks gather in Gulfport to dance and celebrate Halloween.
Creature Feature Halloween Drag & Burlesque Show
When: Saturday, 8 p.m.
Where: Overflow Brewing Company, 770 1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg
Admission: Free
Features frighteningly fun performances by Nilla Bean, Mister Cister, Taryn Hearts and Sorcha Mercy. Dress up for the costume contest; winner gets a bar tab.
Florida Halloween Distance Classic
When: Sunday, Halfathon at 7:05 a.m.; 10K and 5K at 7:25 a.m.
Where: Fort De Soto Park, St. Petersburg
Admission: Registration ranges from $45 to $85 per person
Costumes are encouraged!
When: Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Central Avenue will shut down to cars from MLK to 31st Street for a massive Halloween block party.
Admission: Free to attend block party (check local businesses for specific events)
