St. Pete Holiday Inn Sold To IL Company For $18.75M: Reports

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Holiday Inn St. Petersburg West at 1200 34th Street N. has new owners, according to multiple reports.

The property was sold to NexGen Hotels, based in Illinois, for $18.75 million, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported. The hotel last sold in November 2021 for $11.8 million.

The majority of hotels owned by NexGen are located in the MidWest, according to the company’s website.

The 129-room hotel will be managed by Genuine Hospitality Group, which is in St. Louis, Missouri, HotelBusiness.com said.

Amenities at the property include an outdoor, resort-style heated pool and whirlpool spa, a fitness center, a grab-and-go market, a full-service restaurant and bar serving lunch and dinner, and a boardroom.

"This acquisition offers NexGen Hotels an excellent opportunity to become a key player in the strong hotel market in St. Petersburg."
