St. Pete Man Dies After Being Thrown From Van On I-275: FHP
A St. Petersburg man died after being thrown from a van in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on I-275, Florida Highway Patrol said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg man died after being thrown from a van he was driving in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on I-275, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
For unknown reasons, the 52-year-old driver lost control of his van while heading south on the interstate, just north of 4th Street, around 4 p.m., the agency said.
This caused the van to drive into the outside shoulder, where it overturned, according to FHP.

The driver, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and died.
