St. Pete Man Wins $2 Million In Florida Powerball Drawing
Joseph Brelsford has claimed the $2 million prize from the Powerball drawing held March 3.

TALLAHASSEE, FL – A St. Petersburg man no longer has to worry about finding the money to pay his bills.
Joseph Brelsford has claimed the $2 million prize from the Powerball drawing held March 3. His winning Quick Pick ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers, 13-17-25-36-40.
However, Brelsford didn’t match the number on the red ball needed to win the Powerball jackpot.

That means the Powerball drawing on Wednesday night, March 7, is worth an estimated $348 million, the 16th-highest jackpot payout in Powerball history.
The odds of winning the grand prize, by the way, are 1 in 292,201,338.

Brelsford purchased his winning ticket from the Sunoco service station at 6231 Haines Road N. in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Powerball ticket.
Tonight’s national Powerball drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. and will be broadcast live from the Florida Lottery’s draw studio in Tallahassee.
Since joining the national Powerball in 2009, the game has generated $1.78 billion for Florida education including the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
Florida is among the top-selling Powerball states in the country, with more than 80 million winning tickets totaling more than $2.3 billion in prizes, including 12 jackpot winners.
Florida was also one of the three states nationally to have a winner share in the world record-setting $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot in January 2016.
