St. Pete Police Make Arrests In Year-Old Death Investigation
Taylor Anne McAllister's body was discovered around 7:45 a.m. Dec. 22, 2016, by a man searching for aluminum cans.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Nearly a year after 22-year-old Taylor Anne McAllister was found dead in an alley behind 2101 63 Ave. S., St. Petersburg Police detectives have made arrests in the case.
Following a yearlong investigation, detectives served a search warrant Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the home of Robert Butler, 52, of 3458 Woodridge Parkway, Palm Harbor, after acquaintances of Butler’s admitted to picking up McAllister’s barely conscious body at Butler’s home and leaving her in the alley where she died a short time later.
McAllister’s body was discovered around 7:45 a.m. Dec. 22, 2016, by a man searching for aluminum cans. Based on evidence found at the scene, police ruled her death a homicide.

A Tarpon Springs resident and graduate of Tarpon Springs High School, McAllister was the mother of twin toddler daughters.
Butler was charged with felony possession of marijuana and failure to report a death.

Also arrested were the two men who admitted to dumping McAllister’s body in the alley.
Deonte Baker, 35, was charged with failure to report a death and money laundering.
Quran Archer, 25, was charged with failure to report a death.
In addition, police charged Miriam Humphrey, 31, and Kadijah Hunt, 24, with money laundering.
No one has been charged with McAllister’s murder, however. The investigation is ongoing and St. Petersburg police say more arrests are pending.
