St. Pete Police Officer Charged With DUI
The incident happened early Monday morning in Hillsborough County.
A veteran St. Petersburg Police officer is on paid administrative leave following a Monday morning DUI arrest in Hillsborough County.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Officer Allan McTavish, 51, was pulled over around 1 a.m.
Details of the incident are not yet available, but St. Petersburg Police spokesman Mike Puetz said McTavish has been placed on administrative leave until an internal investigation can be conducted by the Office of Professional Standards.

McTavish has been a sworn police officer since November 1984. He serves in the department’s Uniform Services Bureau.
He was off-duty at the time of his arrest.
