St. Pete Police Seek Bank Robber Who Claimed To Have Bomb
St. Petersburg Police are seeking a bank robber who claimed to be carrying a bomb.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police are seeking a bank robber who claimed to be carrying a bomb.
Around 11 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to a bank robbery at the BB&T Bank, 182 37th Ave. N. The robber told a teller he had a bomb inside a bag he was carrying, and demanded money.
The suspect dropped the bag on his way out and left the bank in a black BMW.

Due to the bomb threat, the Tampa Police Bomb Squad was called to the scene and found no bomb inside the bag.
The robber is described as black, in his 30s, 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build.
