Reward Offered For Information On Accused St. Pete Shooter

St. Petersburg Police are looking Ajani Welch, accused of shooting a 22-year-old resident in an alleyway Saturday, Oct. 12.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police and Crimestoppers are offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a 22-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a man in an alleyway Saturday, Oct. 12.

A warrant has been issued for the shooter, who has been identified as Ajani Welch.

Artez Davis, 22, was walking in an alley in the 4700 block of 18th Avenue South near 47th Street on Saturday afternoon when police say Welch fired shots and killed Davis. Welch fled in a dark blue/gray Toyota.

Davis was taken to Bayfront Health where he died.
