St. Pete Social Service Agencies Can Now Apply For $50,000 Grant
Social Service Agencies that provide services to individuals without homes have until July 6 to apply for grant offered by city of St. Pete.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The city of St. Pete opened applications Wednesday to social service agencies that provide services to people without homes and/or homeless prevention services for the Social Action Funding grants worth up to $50,000.
Priority is given to agencies that provide services for:
- Homeless families with minor or dependent children.
- Unaccompanied youth.
- Individuals (who are most vulnerable).
- Chronically homeless individuals and Veterans.
- Victims of domestic violence.
Only one application per agency is permitted for competitive funding, except that an agency may submit additional applications for programs which provide any of the following critical services:

- Storage units for personal items belonging to homeless individuals.
- Call centers to assist persons with prevention of homelessness or to assist those who are already homeless.
- Discretionary funds for street outreach to homeless individuals and families.
Other application eligibility required by the city is that applicants have to attend the mandatory Bidders/Technical Assistance Workshop that is held virtually this year. Applicants interested can print the application and guidelines found on stpete.org/socialactionfunding. The workshop is scheduled on Friday, June 5 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

In Fiscal Year 2020, the city awarded $583,800 in Social Action Funding grants to 14 organizations in the community.
