St. Petersburg Free Clinic announces new board positions
Bill Van Law and Janet Crane appointed to executive committee; two local leaders selected to join the Board of Directors
St. Petersburg, Fla. (November 17, 2017) – The St. Petersburg Free Clinic has appointed two new executive officers and added two new board members to its Board of Directors. Board members provide oversight and input on strategy for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, which provides food, shelter and healthcare services for Pinellas County residents.
Bill Van Law, president of the investment advisors division at Raymond James Financial, begins his term as Chair of the Board of Directors. He previously served as Vice Chair. Janet Crane, a retired executive within the payments industry, will now serve as Vice Chair.
In addition, Khalilah Weston, owner and pain management physician of Aria Health and Wellness Institute, and W. Gregory Holden, vice president and client consultant at Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc., have joined St. Petersburg Free Clinic’s 21-member Board of Directors.

“The leadership our board members provide is essential to the advancement of our mission of changing lives with help and hope,” said Beth Houghton, executive director of St. Petersburg Free Clinic. “They generously provide their time, talent and treasure to create a positive impact on our community.”
Board members are elected for a three-year term, and take an active role in fundraising and strategic planning. During their tenure, they are responsible for monitoring the implementation of plans, policy and fiscal matters; serving on organizational committees; and helping to build connections in order to raise awareness about the Free Clinic’s eight programs.
