St. Petersburg Government Offices To Close For Holidays
Most city facilities are also closed on Monday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

St. PETERSBURG, FL -- City government facilities will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 for Christmas and New Year’s Day.
During both holiday weeks, regular trash and recycling pickup for St. Petersburg residential customers normally made on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, while Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.
City facilities are closed to the public on Monday, Dec. 25 including: Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, The Greenhouse, City Hall & Municipal Services Center, Coliseum Ballroom, Enoch Davis Center, three Golf Courses (Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links and Twin Brooks), Jamestown Apt/Townhomes Office and Dwight Jones Neighborhood Center, Mahaffey Theater/Duke Energy Center for the Arts, Municipal Beach Concession Stand (Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island), Municipal Marina Ship's Store, North Shore Aquatic Complex, community libraries, recreation centers, sanitation department brush sites, Sunken Gardens and Sunshine Center.

Most city facilities are also closed on Monday, Jan. 1. The only places open to the public on New Year's Day are: Enoch Davis Center (for Kwanzaa event, 6 p.m.), three Golf Courses (Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links and Twin Brooks), Municipal Beach Concession Stand (Gulf Boulevard,Treasure Island), Municipal Marina Ship's Store and Sunken Gardens.

Sunken Gardens will be closed Christmas Eve, Dec. 24
The Municipal Marina Ship's Store will close at noon on Dec. 24
Boyd Hill will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Jan. 31
City libraries (except Childs Park) will close at 6 p.m. Dec. 26-29
Childs Park Community Library will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 26-29 and Jan. 2-5
Mahaffey Theater administrative offices will close at noon Dec. 22-25
Mahaffey Theater Box Office is closed Sundays, including Dec. 24 and 31; hours Dec. 22-23 and Dec. 26-30 will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless there is a show that evening.
Golf Courses
The city's three public golf courses (Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links and Twin Brooks) will be closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 only. All three courses will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Libraries
The West Community Library at St. Petersburg College will be closed Dec. 22-25 and Dec. 29- Jan. 1
All city libraries will be closed Dec. 24 and 31
Childs Park Community Library will be closed Dec. 30.
Residential Sanitation Collection
During the holiday weeks of Dec. 25-29 and Jan. 1-5, regular trash and recycling pickup for St. Petersburg residential customers normally made on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, while Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collection days remain the same. Brush sites will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Note: The Coliseum doors open at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, for the "Swingin' the New Year" big band event from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Enoch Davis Center will be open Jan. 1 for the Imani (Faith) Kwanzaa event, beginning at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.
