Street Racer Hit Speeds Of More Than 100MPH On Gandy Boulevard: FHP
A driver faces street racing charges after he was caught going more than 100MPH on Gandy Boulevard, Florida Highway Patrol said.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A trooper patrolling Gandy Boulevard Friday night nabbed a driver going more than 100 miles per hour, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Joshua Scuddy, 27 of Holiday was charged with street racing after being caught speeding just after 11 p.m.
As he drove behind a group of motorcycles, Scuddy slowed to 40 miles per hour before rapidly accelerating to more than 100 miles per hour, FHP said. The speed limit for that section of the road is 55 miles per hour.

The trooper was able to overtake Scuddy, who was brought to Pinellas County Jail. His car has been impounded for 30 days.
The trooper was unable to stop the motorcyclists, who rode away from the scene.
