Suspect In St. Pete Shooting, Brawl That Injured 7 Remains At Large

No arrests have been made in a downtown St. Petersburg shooting and brawl that injured seven people, a report said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two weeks after a person was accused of shooting into a crowd during a Third Street brawl — during which seven people were injured — the media outlet Fox 13 reported Friday authorities have still not made an arrest.

St. Petersburg Police said three people were shot and four others had minor injuries in the incident at Third Street near Central Avenue.

Police said on Oct. 11 a man, who was previously identified as a person of interest, is now considered a suspect.

Surveillance video released later that afternoon by police show the shooting suspect with a group of people walking through a crowd. Police said they believe the people in the footage have information related to the investigation and are working to identify them.

The suspect was described as a Black man, between the ages 17-20, with short dreads. He was last seen wearing a blue and white basketball jersey with the word, "SIERRA," and the number zero on the front, and the name, "JAMES," on the back.

The Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to an arrest, police said. Tipsters can call 1 (800) 873-8477.
