Suzanne Burtzlaff named Business Person of the Year

The City of South Pasadena named Executive Director of The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay the 2017 Business Person of the Year

Suzanne Burtzlaff, Executive Director of The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay, was recently named the 2017 Business Person of the Year by the city of South Pasadena.

As the Executive Director of The Fountains, Suzanne has played a vital role in fostering a close partnership between The Fountains and the city. She helps facilitate and promote public safety presentations and supports local initiatives like the recent “Prevent the Fall, Prevent the Call” campaign and has also served as an active member of the Business Revitalization Committee.

“In the city of St. Petersburg, the number of 911 calls has dramatically increased with the senior population,” said Burtzlaff. “In the past, more people were calling Emergency Medical Services as their primary source of healthcare rather than for true emergies. That’s why we’ve partnered with the South Pasadena Fire Department to help educate seniors about preventative measures to reduce falls and limit non-emergency 911 calls. Along with this, we share best practices for thriving at any age.”
