Sword-Wielding Woman Threatens Man Over Parking Spot: St. Pete Police

While arguing with a man over a parking spot at a St. Pete apartment complex, a woman threatened him with a sword, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg woman threatened a man with a sword over a parking spot at her apartment complex Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Quiana Manning, 41, was charged with aggravated assault in the incident, according to her arrest affidavit from St. Petersburg police.

After arguing with the other driver over a parking spot at 1181 3rd Ave. N. around 3 p.m., Manning pulled a 2-foot-long sword from its sheath and approached his truck, police said.

She raised it “in an aggressive manner” at the man’s open driver’s side window and told him, “You can get (expletive) up,” according to the affidavit.

The victim told police that he was scared of Manning when she pulled out her sword.

At the time of the assault, she didn’t intend to kill the other driver, the affidavit said.
