Tampa Bay Museums Close In Response To Coronavirus Outbreak
"Hey, where are all the people?" This seahorse and other critters at the Florida Aquarium will receive visitors again on March 29.

TAMPA, FL — The following museums will temporarily close due to the coronavirus outbreak:
Tampa Museum Of Art
The Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, will temporarily close effective Sunday, March 15 at 5 p.m. and tentatively remain closed through March 29 to support the effort to contain the spread of coronavirus.
This includes the Museum store, the Riverwalk Cafe, all classes and public events.

Museum Of Fine Arts
The Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Drive N.E., St. Petersburg, will temporarily close to the public, starting Saturday, March 14.
With the temporary closure, the 23rd Annual Art in Bloom and its related events, Wearing Flower After Hours and Art in Bloom Luncheon, scheduled for March 26-30, have been canceled. Anyone who purchased tickets for Art in Bloom events will be contacted by the Margaret Acheson SStuart Society regarding options.

Tampa Bay History Center
The Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Water St., Tampa, will temporarily close to the public beginning Saturday, March 14, and continuing to March 30.
All upcoming programs and tours are canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
James Museum Of Western And Wildlife Art
The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, 150 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, will remain open but has canceled or postponed all programs, tours and events scheduled through March 31.
Dunedin Fine Art Center
The Dunedin Fine Art Center, 1143 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin, will keep its galleries and classrooms open. However, the center has postponed its 40th annual Garden Party on April 5.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium, 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater, will close Monday, March 16. The aquarium tentatively plans to reopen to the public on March 27 at 10 a.m.
Fans are invited to watch the animals on the aquarium's webcam while the aquarium is closed.
Glazer Children's Museum
The Glazer Children's Museum, 110 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, will close Monday, March 16, and remain closed through Sunday, March 29. This includes the museum's spring break camp.
Museum of Science & Industry
The Museum of Science & Industry, 4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, will close Monday, March 16, and remain closed through Sunday, March 29.
Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, will close Monday, March 16, and remain closed through Sunday, March 29.
Henry B. Plant Museum
The Henry B. Plant Museum, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, will close Monday, March 16, and remain closed through Sunday, March 29.
