Tampa Bay Rays Will Offer All Sorts of Cool Baseball Items at Major League Yard Sale

The Rays will host a rummage sale to remember Saturday during Fan Fest, at Tropicana Field, with items for sale from the inaugural season as well as game-used bats and baseballs.

It's hard to picture Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon standing under the shade of oak trees in some suburban cul-de-sac, hovering over a folding table and selling trinkets to total strangers.

No, Maddon is not likely to be at a neighborhood yard sale any time soon. But he will be running a yard sale of sorts, in spirit, come Saturday.

At Tropicana Field, the annual, wildly popular Fan Fest will occur where fans can mingle, buy tickets, dream of the coming season, meet and greet players, and oh, yeah, go to a yard sale.

The Rays will be hosting a yard sale selling all sorts of items, from autographed jerseys to game-used baseballs to tickets from Matt Garza's no-hitter, the first in Rays' history.

Parking is free as is admission, but get there early. Tens of thousands are expected.
