Taylen Mosley Drowned After Father Threw Him In Lake: St. Pete Police
Taylen Mosley, 2, and his mother, Payshun Jeffery, were killed by his father, police said. The boy's cause of death has been released.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two-year-old Taylen Mosley died of drowning when his father threw him in Lake Maggiore after stabbing his mother to death on March 29, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
The Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the boy's cause of death, SPPD said.
His mother, 20-year-old Payshun Jeffery, was killed March 29 by the boy's father, Thomas Mosley, 21, police said. The elder Mosley stabbed Jeffery more than 100 times at their apartment in the Lincoln Shores Apartments complex at 11601 Fourth St. N., officials said.

After her body was found March 30, an Amber Alert was then issued for Taylen, who was missing from the apartment.

The boy’s body was found in an alligator’s mouth near Dell Holmes Park in St. Petersburg on March 31, after an extensive two-day search. An officer saw the alligator with something in its jaws, fired a shot at the alligator and the child's body was recovered.
Thomas Mosley is charged with two counts of first-degree murder for killing Jeffery and their son.
