Teen Brought Knife, List Of Names To School, Cops Say
The Azalea Middle School student was arrested on Friday after telling a girl he planned to use the knife on another student.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — An Azalea Middle School student faces felony charges after St. Petersburg Police say he was caught with a knife on campus.
According to the agency, a 14-year-old boy at the 7855 22nd Ave. N. school showed a girl a knife he brought to class with him Friday morning. The boy told the girl he was going to use the knife on another student, police wrote in an email to media.
The girl, police said, took the boy’s backpack from him and brought it to a teacher.

“School officials and the school resource officer questioned the boy and discovered the he had a folding knife and a note with several names on it,” the email said.
The boy has since been charged with possession of a weapon on school property. The teen’s name is not being released because of his age.
