Teen Girl Hospitalized After Being Hit By Trolley: St. Pete Police
A 15-year-old Gulfport girl was critically injured when she was hit by a PSTA trolley in St. Petersburg Sunday morning, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - A 15-year-old Gulfport girl was critically injured when she was hit by a PSTA trolley in St. Petersburg Sunday just before 11:30 a.m.
She had just gotten off the SunRunner bus on 1st Avenue South between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street and 5th Street and was hit by the trolley as she crossed the street, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
The teen was brought to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The trolley driver, 54-year-old Chrishawn Rodgers of Tampa, was brought to St. Anthony’s Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Two passengers on the trolley were also brought to local hospitals with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
