Teen Shot Boy Near Sundial, Faces Charges: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — An 18-year-old faces charges after shooting a teenage boy in the leg near the Mall at Sundial last weekend, St. Petersburg police said.

Deshayne McCullough was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon causing great bodily harm and delinquent in possession of a firearm.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired on 2nd Street North near the parking garage around 11 p.m.

They found a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

McCullough shot the boy after they had an argument before running from the area.
