Topgolf Under Construction In Carillon Business Park
Construction has started on the new Topgolf complex in north St. Pete’s Carillon business park, St. Pete Rising reported.

The 67,000-square-foot facility will have three floors that include a high-tech golf game, restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace.

The Morean Arts Center will once again host its annual Great St. Pete Cupcake Contest Aug. 27, noon to 3 p.m. The contest will be held at the Morean Center for Clay at 420 22nd Street South, according to the Morean website.
First and second place awards will be given in all categories including Novice, Professional, Youth/Teen (Ages 10-16), Specialty (Gluten Free or Vegan) as well as the People’s Choice.

Munch’s Restaurant for Sale
The St. Petersburg diner Munch’s Sundries is on the market for $2.4 million, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Larry Munch, the owner of the Coquina Key restaurant — and owner of surrounding parcels — plans to sell the business and property and retire.
Munch’s was featured on the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” hosted by Guy Fieri, in 2011.
Coffee House Opens at Station House
A new coffee shop has opened at St. Petersburg’s Station House. Bad Mother has opened in the space formerly occupied by Tebella, Creative Loafing reported.
Every six weeks, the coffee shop will feature a different roaster. It’s currently featuring beans from a Pinellas Park-based roaster, Eastlick Coffee Co.
Paradeco Short Listed for Restaurant and Bar Design Award
St. Petersburg’s Paradeco Coffee Roasters was one of four businesses short-listed for an award honoring the best-designed café in the Americas by the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
The other three eateries on the list are Tops Diner in East Newark, Venteux in Chicago, and Bread + Bola in Monterrey, Mexico.
“Restaurants and bars are the world’s most creative spaces. They are catalysts for change and crucibles of creativity; places where ideas are made and innovation flourishes; spaces that connect us with concepts that ignite the imagination,” according to the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards website.
