Trader Joe's Selects St. Pete Site
The popular store has announced its intentions to open up locally.

Trader Joe’s fans won’t have to cross the bridge to Tampa much longer to shop at the eclectic grocery chain. The store has announced intentions to open a St. Petersburg location.
“Trader Joe’s is dropping anchor in St. Petersburg, Florida,” the retailer’s website states. “We’ve consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store.”
The new shop will be located at 2742 4th St. N.

As of yet, Trader Joe’s hasn’t announced a targeted opening date.
The high-end grocery chain has been eyeing the St. Petersburg location since last year as work on its recently opened South Tampa store was under way. That store opened in March to a heavy flow of traffic.
