Two $1M Powerball Winners In FL As CA Player Grabs $1.76B Jackpot
Florida didn't have a player win the jackpot, but two people took home a big prize from the $1.76 billion Powerball drawing Wednesday.

FLORIDA — Two Florida lottery players failed to capture the $1.76 billion Powerball jackpot on Wednesday night but still scored a major prize, both winning $1 million as a ticket in California landed the top purse.
The winning numbers in the drawing Oct. 11 were white balls 22, 24, 40, 52, 64 and a red Power Ball of 10. The Power Play multiplier was 2X. Wednesday night's jackpot was the second-largest jackpot in Powerball history, only behind the $2.04 billion jackpot hit last November (also in California)
The Florida players matched all five white balls, but not the Power Ball, which earned them $1 million. The Florida Lottery has not yet said where the lucky tickets were sold.

California's jackpot winner will have the choice between getting the estimated $1.765 billion prize paid out over time, or a lump sum payment of $774.1 million (before taxes).
“Congratulations to the newest Powerball billionaire and the millions of Powerball players who won other cash prizes in last night’s drawing,” said Drew Svitko, Powerball Product Group Chair and Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director. “For 31 years, some players who have dreamed about winning a Powerball jackpot have defied the odds, and in doing so, have helped generate critical funding for public services and programs supported by U.S. lotteries."
