New Smash Burger Concept Coming to Downtown St. Pete

A new smash burger concept, Black Cattle Burger Co., will make its debut Sept. 6 in downtown St. Petersburg, according to a news release.

The restaurant, which will open at 17 3rd Street in the Jannus block, is a partnership between Benson Hospitality Group and St. Pete local Shan Bakrac.

“At Black Cattle Burger Co., we’ve brought back the classic burger and given it a modern twist,” Corey Rose of Benson Hospitality said. “We will never mask our beef’s flavor with unnecessary add-ons. Our burgers are the perfect blend of ground chuck, brisket, and short rib that doesn’t need anything other than classic yellow American cheese to make it one of the best burgers you’ve ever tasted.”
