Deputies and U.S. Coast Guard St. Petersburg crews stopped an unmanned runaway boat after its captain fell overboard: Watch

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies and crews from the U.S. Coast Guard Station in St. Petersburg were able to stop an unmanned, runaway boat after its captain fell overboard Sunday.
The sheriff’s office was able to come alongside the boat, jump onto it and stop it, the Coast Guard wrote in a Facebook post.
“Just another reason to wear your engine ‘kill switch’ when operating your vessel,” the Coast Guard wrote.
