Video Of Chihuly Theft Suspect Released
The person is accused of stealing and then returning a piece of artwork worth more than $20,000.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is looking for help identifying a man who might be responsible for a theft from the Chihuly Collection over the weekend.
The piece, titled “Cobalt and Lavender Piccolo Venetian with Gilded Handles,” was discovered missing from the 400 Beach Drive N.E. gallery Monday morning. Someone returned it to the Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave., on Tuesday.
Gallery workers believe the work of art, valued at more than $20,000, was likely stolen during public hours on Sunday.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the police department at 727-893-7780. Tips may also be texted to TIP411 by texting SPPD and the tip.
