Video: New Monument Honors Dan Wheldon
Friends, family and city leaders dedicated a memorial in remembrance of a great man, Dan Wheldon.
The Dan Wheldon Monument was unveiled along with the new Victory Circle monument at Albert Whitted Park on Thursday, March 21.
Wheldon, who was a resident of St. Petersburg, lost his life in a racing accident in 2011.
Mayor Bill Foster, former team members of Wheldon, other racers and Wheldon's wife and children were all present at the unveiling.
