Volunteers Needed for Mainsail Art Festival

Signups are being accepted now for volunteers willing to work during April's Mainsail Art Festival.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — As the date for the 41st Mainsail Art Festival draws closer, the city of St. Petersburg is trying to get the word out that volunteers are needed.

The two-day event takes place April 16-17 at Viony Park, 701 Bayshore Drive N.E., pulling in more than 260 professional artists from across the country and thousands of arts lovers. Considered one of St. Petersburg’s signature events, the festival relies heavily on volunteers from the community to help put everything together.

“More than 250 volunteers are needed to staff several booths on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17,” the city wrote in a media release. Volunteer opportunities include promotions, T-shirt and poster sales, hospitality tent, water booth staffing and more. All volunteers receive free T-shirts for their troubles, too.
