Woman 'Choked' Sister To Death In St. Pete: Police
A St. Petersburg woman faces charges after 'choking' her older sister to death, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg woman “choked” her sister to death Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Police found the victim, Sherry Lynn Howard, 54, in a home at 675 Newtown Ave. S. around 3:30 p.m.
Her sister, Charee Howard, 39, was charged with second-degree murder, St. Petersburg Police Department said in a news release.

The two sisters lived together in the home, police said. No one else was present at the time of the death.
Cheree called police around 3:30 and said that she has “choked” and “killed,” the victim, according to the arrest affidavit.

Her sister’s body was found on the floor just inside the front door with “injuries consistent with the defendant’s statements,” police said.
