Woman Jealous Of Cat Charged With Domestic Battery: St. Pete Police
A St. Pete woman was charged with domestic battery after hitting her boyfriend when her cat showed him more affection, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — After getting jealous of how affectionate her cat was being with her boyfriend and slapping him, a woman was charged with domestic battery Tuesday afternoon, according to a St. Petersburg police arrest affidavit.
When police responded to the couple’s Mirror Lake Drive apartment just after 4 p.m., they learned that Ashley Hubley, 25, slapped her boyfriend’s arm after getting upset that her cat was showing him more affection, the arrest record shows.
Her boyfriend told police that they’ve been dating and living together for about two months.

Hubley, who admitted to hitting him, told police that they’ve “been arguing due to not having jobs and living in close quarters with one another.”
