
A 90-year-old grandmother was taken to Tampa General Hospital following a Tuesday morning fire in St. Petersburg.
According to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, the blaze broke out around 3:05 a.m. at 1719 19th Ave. S. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. Once inside, they found the woman with second- and third-degree burns on her face and torso, an email to media stated.
That woman has been identified as Annie Mae Watson. Her birthday is Wednesday, according to ABC news.

Watson was last listed in critical condition. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
