Woman Shot Boyfriend, Cops Say

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on 17th Avenue South Tuesday afternoon.

According to the agency, officers responded to a domestic call at 943 17th Ave. S. While on the scene, officers spoke with the woman involved.

“At some point, she went into the home, grabbed a gun and shot the boyfriend,” the agency wrote in an email to media.

Police have identified the woman as Kelly Dufrene, 49. She has been brought into custody.

The victim is Timothy Crowley, 47. Police say he is in stable condition at Bayfront Hospital.
