Woman Stabbed To Death During Argument: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A woman was stabbed to death during an argument Monday evening, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

Officers responded to 860 9th Ave. S. around 6:40 p.m. and found the victim, Mary Colon-Wright, 51, had been stabbed, police said. She died from her injuries.

Investigators learned that Jasmine Sephus, 32, fatally stabbed the victim while they argued, SPPD said. She was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

The two women knew each other, though police didn’t specify the nature of their relationship.
