Wrong-Way Skyway Bridge Crash Claims 3rd Victim: FL Highway Patrol
A car thief driving the wrong way on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge Tuesday night crashed into an Uber, killing three people, FHP said.

FLORIDA — A third person has died from injuries caused by Tuesday night’s wrong-way crash on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
An Uber driver and one of his passengers were killed that night when a man driving a stolen Ford Mustang drove north in the I-275 southbound lanes to avoid law enforcement and crashed into the rideshare vehicle.
A female passenger in the Uber was brought to an area hospital with serious injuries from the crash and died overnight Friday, FHP said.

Another passenger, as well as the Mustang's driver, Leosvany Arias Roman, 22, suffered serious injuries and were brought to area hospitals.
A 27-year-old state trooper suffered minor injuries when Roman rammed into his vehicle earlier Tuesday evening and was also brought to a nearby hospital.

Roman, who is from Hialeah, was charged with felony murder, vehicular homicide, aggravated fleeing and eluding involving death, driving while license suspended involving death, and battery on a law enforcement officer, FHP said.
