Your Guide To The 2019 St. Pete Pride Celebration

Here's everything you need to know about the St. Pete Pride Celebration.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman has raised the rainbow flag over City Hall, signaling the start of the city's 17th annual Pride celebration, which includes one of the largest Pride parades in the country.

Here is a complete list of events going on this week:

Celebrate In St. Pete's 'Gay District'

On Friday, June 21, the community is encouraged to dine, drink, shop, explore and support the businesses of Grand Central District along Central Avenue, known as St. Pete's "Gay District."

Pride Celebration At Enigma

Enigma at 1110 Central Ave. N. will host a Pride celebration on Friday, June 21 from noon to 3 a.m. with no cover charge, a two-for-one happy hour from noon to 9 p.m. and $5 Absolut and $4.75 Fireball from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Daphne Ferraro and cast with DJ Craig Durty will entertain at 1 p.m. and midnight.

Come back on Saturday, June 22 for a dance party with DJ Blake Blaze and performances by Kori Stevens and Daphne Ferraro.

SP2 Concert

The free SP2 Concert featuring Jennifer Real, Divine AF and headliner Lisa Loeb will be held Friday, June 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. in North Straub Park, 400 Bayshore Drive N.E.

The SP2 Concert hosted by Alexis Mateo is a fundraising event to assist various Tampa Bay community organizations. A mix of bands and local singers will warm up the crowd as attendees cool down with their choice of Bud Light and Absolut Vodka beverages. Beverage sales benefit the St Pete Pride Community Grants Program.

Pride WOD

Pride WOD at St. Pete CrossFit, 3120 44th Ave. N., will take place Friday, June 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Arrive early to sign a waiver and socialize and stay after from refreshments from 3 Daughters Brewing.

All $20 registration money will benefit Family Resources, one of the only nonprofits primarily focused on providing support for LGBT homeless youth in Pinellas County.

3rd Annual One Love Prom In Wonderland

The third annual One Love Prom in Wonderland, an LGBTQ-inclusive event with a Mad Hatter theme will be Friday, June 21 from 9 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Flamingo Resort, 4601 34th St. S. It's a chance to attend prom with someone special or go stag and meet someone special.

Pre-Parade Party

Starting at 2 p.m., there will be a pre-parade party with free entertainment and 230 vendors at South Straub Park, 198 Bayshore Drive N.E., and North Straub Park, 400 Bayshore Drive N.E., adjacent to the parade route, including a concert by international recording artist Beth Sacks at 6 p.m. on the Wells Fargo North Straub Stage.

2019 St Pete Pride TransPride March

The St Pete Pride TransPride March is set on Saturday, Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 7 p.m., just before the parade. The entire community if invited to participate. The first 1,000 registrants will receive a 2019 St. Pete Pride TransPride March T-shirt at check-in. RSVP by clicking here.

Tech Data St. Pete Pride Parade

More than 7,500 people adorned in sequins, beads, leather and feathers will saunter along Bayshore Drive in downtown St. Pete for the 17th annual St. Pete Pride Parade sponsored by Tech Data and presented by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater on Saturday, June 22 starting at 7:15 p.m.

This year's parade will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which sparked the Gay Rights Movement.

More than 250,000 spectators will line the parade route to watch 170 floats, marching bands, dance troupes and other parade participants.

Those seeking a prime spot to watch the march and parade are invited to the Glamstand, featuring an open premium bar, bleacher seating and air-conditioned bathrooms.

Presented by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, general VIP admission to the Glamstand is $85.

Admission to a VIP Glamstand Box is $125. Each box holds 10 people so this requires a purchase of 10 tickets. It includes the same amenities as the general VIP admission plus a private viewing area on the parade route with reserved seats.

Remember, outside beverages or alcohol is prohibited at the parade. Water and other beverages will be sold throughout the festival. In the interest of general safety, please refrain from bringing in the following items:

  • Alcohol (open container laws and city ordinances still apply)
  • Inline Skates
  • Laser pointers
  • Radios
  • Skateboards/Scooters
  • Fireworks
  • Weapons/Firearms
  • Pets or animals (we love animals, but for their safety, leave them at home)

There will be an accessible viewing area for the parade located at South Straub Park next to the water fountain. Interpreting services for the parade will take place by the HCA South Straub Stage.

Post-Parade Concert

The music will continue after the parade from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. in North Straub Park featuring headliner Vassy at 10 p.m.

How To Get There

On Saturday, all PSTA routes to the parade are free from park & rides.

Park & Rides are located at:

St. Pete High School, 2501 5th Ave. N. Parking is free. Catch Route 9 to the parade from noon to midnight.

Tropicana Field, 1 Tropicana Drive. Parking is $10. Catch Route 18 to the parade from noon to midnight.

St Pete Pride After Party

After the Tech Data St. Pete Pride Parade, visit Quench Lounge, 13284 66th St. N., Largo, at 9 p.m. for the official St. Pete Pride After Party. Mingle with the Men of Quench and the Diva Show. There will be drink specials after 9 p.m. including $3 Quench drafts, $4 Fireball shots, $3 drinks after 1 a.m. and a half-price happy hour from opening to 9 p.m.

Pride Closer

A Pride Closer will take place from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. at Morph Nightclub, 1833 1st Ave. S., St.Petersburg.

The event is free before 11 p.m. with an RSVP, $5 before midnight and $15 after midnight. Click here for tickets.

This year's closer features special guest LEM from Mood II Swing, an iconic and legendary house music duo. As a songwriter, Lem Springsteen was behind radio and club hits like Ultra Nate’s “Free,” and Barbara Tucker’s “Beautiful People."
