2-Alarm Fire Battled At Tarpon Springs Apartment Complex

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — The Red Cross is helping eight families whose apartments were impacted by a fire Monday.

Tarpon Spring Fire Rescue responded to a two-alarm fire around 1:45 p.m. Monday at Palm Apartments of Tarpon Springs, 600 Haven Place. Crews from seven fire departments were called to help douse the flames of the fast-moving fire.

It took crews nearly two hours to knock back the flames, which spread to multiple units through the attic of the building, causing fire, smoke and water damage to eight units.

There were no injuries.
