27-Year-Old Loses Control Of Car, Flips Over Several Times

TARPON SPRINGS, FL -- A 27-year-old Tarpon Springs man sustained serious injuries in a single-car crash on Belcher Road Sunday, Oct. 21.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 1:44 a.m., Oshane Ryan Porrey was driving a Kia Forte at a high rate of speed north on Belcher Road approaching Alderman Road when he lost control of the car.

The car rotated onto the east shoulder of the road, struck a raised curb and overturned multiple times, colliding with a traffic sign, a Duke Energy utility pole with a power box, a Verizon cable junction box and a Brighthouse phone box before hitting a chain-link fence.

He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center.
