America’s $16 Trillion Debt: Bilirakis Wants to Hear From You

Tarpon Springs residents who have always wanted to have a say in how America spends its money will get the chance Wednesday, April 3.

U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Palm Harbor, is inviting residents to take part in an interactive budget workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rasmussen College, 18600 Fernview St. in Land O’ Lakes.

Bilirakis has been publicizing the upcoming meeting on his House website and also through automated calls that went out to local homes in the last few days.

Bilirakis represents District 12 in Congress, an area that encompasses Tarpon Springs.

“During the forum, we will break into small groups and look at ways to reduce our nation’s $16 trillion debt and improve the long-term economic future for our families and businesses,” an announcement on the Bilirakis website reads.
